I was asked to create a one of a kind Menorah to be displayed as part of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston’s, Festival of Lights Hanukkah Celebration. The inspiration for the Menorah came from my childhood experience making Hex Nut Menorahs in Hebrew School. My hope was to create a large scale Menorah that was different from the large Menorah’s typically displayed in Synagogues and outdoors in parks. As part of the installation, students created their own Hex Nut Menorahs to replicate the Giant Hex Nut Menorah on display.
Approximately 3000 people attended the event at the Museum of Fine Arts on Decemeber 9, 2015.
